Vandeputte Safety Experts is looking for a driven Recruiter to strengthen our HR team.

Your assignment

As a recruiter, you will play a crucial role in attracting and selecting talented candidates in Belgium and the Netherlands who embrace our corporate culture and contribute to our mission of ensuring safety and well-being in the workplace. You will work closely with various internal managers to understand staffing needs and determine and guide the recruitment approach. From an in-depth intake interview, you can develop a sharp competency profile and an attractive job description.

You search proactively for talent through various channels such as online job boards, social media, and events. You select candidates carefully and conduct in-depth, behaviour-oriented interviews to assess their knowledge, expertise, motivation, and organisational and cultural fit. With your accurate insights and communication skills, you will provide candidates with a positive experience through quick and transparent communication throughout the recruitment process.

You will manage the entire recruitment process from start to finish. This means you are responsible for drafting and publishing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and facilitating an internal or external assessment. You will then give feedback clearly and a developmental manner to candidates. Furthermore, you are responsible for drafting salary proposals and negotiating employment conditions. You follow up on application closely until the contract is signed and ensure that candidates feel welcome and excited to start with us.

Furthermore, you will build solid collaborations with various recruitment partners and assess them periodically. You will play an active role in strengthening our employer branding action plan by finding creative ways to promote Vandeputte Safety as an employer, such as (online) campaigns, career fairs, and networking events. You will build a valuable talent pool by developing strong relationships with potential candidates.

In short, you will be an indispensable link in our HR team, ready to attract and retain the best talent every day. You do this in close cooperation with our HR Business Partner. You report to our HR Manager.

What experience do you bring?

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in a people-oriented field that underscores your passion for and expertise in understanding people.
  • You have at least some initial experience in recruiting and selecting employee profiles.
  • You are knowledgeable about the recruitment cycle and keep up with the trends and tendencies of the current labour market.
  • You are familiar with various recruitment channels and proficient in using LinkedIn.
  • You have experience with interview techniques, including behaviour-oriented interviews.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and proficient in French at a professional level.
  • You are skilled with systems and proficient with MS Office, job boards, and other relevant applications.
  • You are analytical, result-oriented, customer-oriented, and possess strong persuasive skills.
