Sales Manager International Key Accounts

As experts in safety and well-being, we protect more than 1,000,000 people in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France each and every day. We believe in a world where every employee can do his or her job safely and comfortably and return home healthy every evening. Vandeputte employees go the extra mile to achieve this daily. As an organisation, we want to offer our colleagues a safe working environment, where they can be themselves and become who they want to be -- an environment where growth, learning, and entrepreneurship are encouraged. Vandeputte Safety Experts is part of the European market leader in personal protective equipment and is present in 11 countries.

Vandeputte Safety Experts is looking for a Sales Manager International Key Accounts (IKA).

As Sales Manager IKA, you will determine the vision and strategy of our International Key Accounts sales team in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. You will define clear proposals for the direction of the sales strategy, taking the RG group’s European market approach into account. You will also bear the final responsibility for a budget of approximately €35 million.

You will work closely with a driven sales team to achieve ambitious goals and customer satisfaction. With your track record in sales, you are ready to take on the challenge of developing the sustainable growth of our IKA customers further and consolidating our position as a market leader in the sector. You will report to the Chief Commercial Officer.

As Sales Manager at IKA, you will switch constantly between operational, tactical, and strategic challenges. You will focus on the people in the sales organisation, the customers we serve, the various markets we operate in, budget responsibility, and facilitating change.

  • Focus on vision and strategy

You are able to translate macroeconomic insights in the Belgian, Dutch, and French markets into strategic plans. As Sales Manager IKA, you can identify future trends and changes in the safety, well-being, and personal protective equipment (PPE) sector and understand how these may affect the organisation. You follow the developments and changes in these various markets closely and align the market approach and business plan of your department accordingly.

In cooperation with the management, you make well-considered decisions that contribute to turning the long-term vision into reality. You encourage and facilitate new ideas and approaches that contribute to the continuous development and growth of the organisation.

  • Focus on the budget

You are responsible for drawing up an ambitious business plan in which the strategic market approach for the IKA segment is worked out in detail. You ensure that objectives are followed up. You monitor performance constantly, assess whether it is in line with the budgets, and make adjustments as and where necessary to achieve the targets set. You report these results periodically to the Chief Commercial Officer.

  • Focus on the Internationale Key Accounts

As Sales Manager IKA, your focus is on building long-term relationships with Key Accounts in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. You have extensive experience in managing International Key Accounts, and because you understand their needs, you know how to create added value with the solutions provided. You assess the cooperation regularly and encourage your team to identify new opportunities and strengthen customer relationships. Together with the Account Manager IKA, you participate in strategic meetings with customers. Thanks to your ability to build consensus and reach agreements, you can conclude complex negotiations successfully.

  • Focus on the team

You will lead a team of 13 sales-driven experts, spread across 3 locations in Boechout, Jumet, and Teteringen. As the manager of the IKA sales team, you convey the vision and strategy with enthusiasm, thereby creating support and commitment among both the Account Managers and Customer Relation Experts. You set clear performance targets and provide constructive feedback for achieving those targets. You are also their coach and sounding board. You stimulate their personal growth and development by giving them the necessary autonomy and trust suitable for their skills.

  • Focus on change

You encourage change and improvement in your team and organisation. You are open to new ideas and initiatives that contribute to the growth and development of Vandeputte Safety Experts. You guide change processes actively, turning resistance into positive results through constructive communication and leadership.
