Vandeputte Safety Experts is looking for a Finance Manager

As a Finance Manager, you will devise a financial business plan that is in line with the overall business objectives. You will moreover ensure that the plan is in tune with the vision and strategy of the RG Group. You will have ultimate responsibility for managing and controlling the financial budget and for making sure that the organisation complies with all relevant laws and regulations. You will report to the Corporate Finance Manager and eventually to the Finance Director.

Your role:

  • Focus on the Budget
    You will have ultimate responsibility for managing and controlling the financial budget. You will prepare timely and accurate financial reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders. You will define, manage, and monitor the annual budget and financial forecasts and ensure these objectives are followed up. You will monitor and follow up internal control procedures to ensure that financial data are accurate and reliable. You will report these results periodically to the Corporate Finance Manager.

  • Focus on People
    You will develop and communicate an inspiring business plan, create support and engagement, and provide clear direction to the team by setting objectives and giving feedback. You will support employees in achieving excellent results and encourage their professional growth through targeted feedback and coaching. You will give employees autonomy and show faith in them based on their skills, thereby contributing to a positive work environment.

  • Focus on Change
    As Finance Manager, you are responsible for following proactively changes in laws and regulations, particularly in VAT regulations and corporate tax. You will make sure tht the organisation complies with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
    In addition, you will identify opportunities for process and system improvements in financial projects. You will create an environment open to change and innovation, and guide the implementation of these changes actively in financial projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Focus on Internal and External Stakeholders
    You will build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders by understanding their needs and responding appropriately. In addition, you will encourage cooperation and identify actively new opportunities and possibilities for optimisation.

  • Focus on Market Developments
    You will monitor market trends and developments closely and translate these insights into concrete strategic initiatives focused on finance to make sure that our organisation stays ahead and responds optimally to changing market conditions.

What you bring

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • You have at least 5 years of successful experience in a leading financial role.

  • You are familiar with VAT, corporate tax, and financial laws and regulations.

  • You have knowledge of financial reporting and consolidation skills, including intercompany reconciliations.

  • You have knowledge of the SAP ERP package.

  • You have excellent Excel skills for advanced financial analyses.

  • You speak fluent Dutch (C2 level), French (C1 level), and English (C1 level).
