This year, Vandeputte helped to organise the yearly Safety Days at our client Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Europe's in Aalst. Tereos Starch & Sweeteners is a large producer of corn starch and sugar syrups, which are used in food processing. Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Europs processes maize, wheat and potato to manufacture a wide range of value added products (native and modified starches, glucose syrups, dextrose, maltodextrines, polyols and alcohols) in compliance with the current and future requirements of the food, pharmaceutical, green chemistry, animal nutrition, paper and corrugated board industries. Vandeputte provides all PPE for Tereos.
Custom campaign for working with hot liquids
The main theme for the Safety Days this year was "working with hot liquids" and the dangers involved.
Vandeputte provided a custom designed campaign concerning the right use of PPE for working with hot liquids. The campaign consists of posters, place mats and large magnet boards, on which they could puzzle together the correct outfit to wear. These were not only used in Aalst, but in all of the Tereos Starch & Sweeteners plants throughout Europe.

New GoreTM suits
An important part of the right PPE outfit at Tereos Starch & Sweeteners Europe consists of their brand new GoreTM outfits, which Vandeputte will be providing to most of the plants throughout Europe. Some of our colleagues
were present in Aalst to show the effectiveness of the GoreTM suits and other PPE with some hands-on tests, including the use of vast amounts of ketchup and syrup.
