Vandeputte Safety is looking for a Planner to work from our office in Boechout.

The challenge

As a planner, you will be responsible for creating the daily, weekly, and monthly schedule for the staff of the Custom Safety department. You will s appointments with customers for these experts, where they will fit bespoke personal protective equipment, such as glasses, hearing protection, and footwear.

Before making a scheduling proposal, you will gather all the necessary information and respect the agreed lead times. You will consider customer requirements, travel times, employee competencies, and availability.

You will then coordinate the proposal with the customer and ensure you get their approval. You will propose an alternative as and where necessary. You will always strive for an optimal schedule that works for both the customer and the internal organisation. Once the appointment is confirmed, you will enter it in the scheduling tool. In case of unexpected changes, you will create a new proposal and ensure clear communication with all parties involved.

Why you are the right match

• You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
• You hold a bachelor's degree or have equivalent experience.
• You are customer-oriented, understand the needs of customers, and provide the best possible solutions.
• You are fluent in Dutch and French.
• You are a talent when it comes to organisation: you prioritise tasks, schedule appointments quickly, and consider practical aspects, execution time, and possible delays.
• You are analytical and gather and process the necessary information efficiently for a realistic scheduling proposal.
• You communicate with the customer and have the persuasive power to gain approval.
• You are a team player and work smoothly with others to achieve common goals.
• You remain calm and efficient under pressure and in the face of setbacks.
• You are proficient with systems. Experience with scheduling software would be a plus.
