Vandeputte Safety is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-oriented Mobile Service Staff Optician.
The Challenge
As a Mobile Service Staff member you will be on the road daily visiting customers in Flanders and Wallonia. You will draw on your expertise as an optician to provide professional on-site service, conducting eye examinations and making sure that various types of safety and display screen glasses are fitted to perfection. But that is not all! Your tasks will also include fitting hearing protection, orthopaedic safety shoes and insoles.
You will travel in a fully equipped service van and provide bespoke advice to customers on product selection, use and maintenance. You will bring your personal approach and expertise to bear for an optimal customer experience.
You will work according to a pre-arranged schedule and will be able to rely on a strong back office team to see to it that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. You will report to the department manager who will provide coaching and expertise.
What you bring to the table
- Qualifications: You are a qualified optician or optometrist by training. Any experience would be an asset, but not essential.
- Customer orientation: You are sociable, a strong communicator and can assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
- Eagerness to learn: You are open-minded and ready eager to keep learning continuously. A growth mindset is pivotal for us.
- Attention to detail: You are organised and follow up on your customer files with due administrative care. Proficiency in MS Office is required; knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
- Language skills: You have an excellent command of Dutch and can communicate effectively in French.
- Flexibility: You have a Category B driving licence and are willing to adapt your working hours for the sake of optimal customer service.
