Maintenance and repairs of fall arrest devices

A visual inspection may reveal a lot of hidden issues. If it reveals that a fall arrest block no longer meets the inspection criteria, it qualifies for maintenance or repair.

The manufacturer can also mandate that a fall arrest block is required to be checked within a certain time frame.

If your fall arrest blocks are generally used outside, annual maintenance is advised.

• Registering the emergency shower by means of the label
• Visual inspection by an External Inspection Service [EDTC]*
