It all looks so simple, but donning and doffing chemical gloves are two delicate processes.

When you're not doing this the correct way, you'll have more chance contaminating your hands with dangerous chemical substances.

Step 1

Prior to donning, carefully read the instructions for use. Not every glove is the same and the manufacturer knows best how to use them in the best way.

If required, wear a thin inner glove below your chemical glove.

Inspect for any faults and check the latest expiration date one more time.

Step 2

Wash your hands with soap and make sure they're completely dry.

Step 3

Time to pull on your chemical gloves...

Put on one glove at a time and fold back your outer sleeve.

Check once more: have you chosen the right size? Does the glove fit well? Perfect, let's go to step 4.

Step 4

Seal the gloves to your outer sleeves.

Return the outer sleeve to its original (normal) position.

By using a special connecting/sealing system you'll be able to liquid tight seal your gloves much faster. If you don't have this system, just use resistant chemical tape.

You are now fully prepared to start your activity.

Step 1

Rinse your gloves to reduce contamination to the skin.

If this is not possible, be extra carefull for small chemical splashes.

Step 2

Remove the sealing system or chemical tape and pull your fingertips of one of the gloves.

Step 3

Crumple your loosened fingertips into a ball and free your hand partially.

Step 4

Using the cuff of your partially loosened glove, grip the other cuff and pull down until the second glove is inside out and over the top of your first glove.

Step 5

Use your fingertips to fully dispose the chemical gloves. Pay attention not to make any contact with the external side and throw them into an appropriate waste bin.

Well done, you have now perfectly removed your chemical gloves without making contact to chemical substances.
