Your role

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for canvassing new customers (30%) and managing existing customer relationships (70%). You will provide expert advice on our safety products, services, and solutions, making a tangible difference for our customers in the private sector. Your (potential) customer base is located in the Netherlands and spans various sectors, including food, woodworking, construction, (petro)chemical, and port industries.

Your responsibilities
 

  • Approaching new customers actively and maintaining existing relationships, where you can count on support from a professional team of inside sales staff.
  • Identifying opportunities for up- and cross-selling with existing customers and responding proactively to their changing needs.
  • Applying sales strategies such as provocative selling and solution selling, whereby you ask the right questions to address the specific needs of your customers.
  • Providing expertise to a range of stakeholders in larger organisations, such as safety advisors, safety specialists, and procurement officers, advising them on optimising their safety risks.
  • Working closely with colleagues from Sales, Marketing, Supply and Logistics to develop customer solutions that meet their expectations.

You will work from our office in Teteringen one to 2 days per week, and work flexibly from home and pay visits to customers on other days. You will report to the Sales Manager Netherlands.
 

What you bring to the table

You are a commercial talent with a proven track record in a B2B environment. You thrive on managing and expanding customer relationships and have a proactive, results-oriented mindset. Your persuasive skills and competitive spirit are your strongest winning assets.

  • You have tried and tested experience in a B2B sales role and are well versed in sales strategies.
  • You are customer- and solution-oriented, with a knack for understanding customer needs and for delivering valuable, tailored solutions.
  • You conduct market research to identify potential customers and opportunities and seek ways to optimise market engagement.
  • You have knowledge of CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce and SAP or other suchlike platforms and can use them effectively in your work.
  • You are proactive, results-oriented, and a team player with strong planning skills.
